Finely carved details of Goddess Hathor, the Egyptian Goddess of Love, Fertility & Joy
Hathor columns began as ‘sistrum-columns’ – columns assimilated to the shaft of a sistrum with capitals showing on opposite sides heads of Hathor topped by a naos-sistrum sound-box. This form had a long history from the beginning of the New Kingdom.
